Landscapes without modern structures or affects of mankind are marvels and pure joy to experience.  A beautiful landscape is beauty in the eye of each person on the planet. The diversity of our marvelous earth has a range of flora and seasonal changes that can deeply affect the viewer with emotional memories.  Check back on this page soon.  We will be adding more diverse landscapes and also different styles of art.

CURRENT EXHIBIT:  
THE TRANSPARENT FOREST- 

The Chassahowitzka Natural Preserve on the Central Florida Gulf Coast has ostensibly been affected by rising sea levels caused by various possibilities and has in just 15 years changed the ecosystem from a dense forest to a transparent one.  Beautiful, yes, but why has this dramatically changed so quickly?  

Is this major change in the indigenous flora been caused by global warming and the subsequent rise in the salt waters of the Gulf of Mexico creeping into the fresh water areas or is it a man-made result of the greed of water management groups favoring development and residential/golf course expansions by reducing and redirecting the fresh water flows from the natural area's springs  These are questions only the future will resolve.  I only hope that it is not too late for mankind to correct.

Having gone on expeditions into the preserve area for decades while producing these watercolors and oil paintings, I hoped to have captured the solemn peace and tranquility, still as beautiful as ever yet so different from just what seems like a few years ago.  Which is more aesthetically pleasing- - the lushness and greenery of pristine Florida  or the fallen glory of nature turning into a transparent forest?
